2020 R-BIZ (Robot-Business Idea Zest) Challenge

Finals to be held October 29 to 31 after recruiting ends September 27
The Korea Association of Robot Industry (KAR) announced that it is recruiting participants for the 2020 “R-BIZ (Robot-Business Idea Zest) Challenge” from August 14 to September 27. The R-BIZ Challenge will be held at KINTEX in Ilsan from October 29 to 31.
The R-BIZ Challenge, which marks its sixth competition this year, is a mission-oriented robotics contest that aims to unearth business ideas and marketing strategies utilizing robot components and products developed in Korea. Through this competition, KAR hopes to unearth ideas related to collaborative robots and logistical robots, disseminate robot products and services, and foster robotics talent by solving problems in robot operation.
This competition is divided into three categories: “Demand Service Development Mission,” “Service Development,” and “Service Marketing Strategy.” Hyundai Robotics is overseeing the marketing strategy category and has proposed missions for “implementing application scenarios” and “target market size and marketing plans” for collaborative robots that are about to be released.
“University students or members of the public (individuals or teams of three or less) interested in the robotics industry or marketing” are eligible to apply for the Hyundai Robotics Collaborative Robot Marketing Contest.
Applications received until September 27 will be reviewed, and the finals and awards ceremony will be held at KINTEX in Ilsan for 30 days starting on October 29.
Winners of the Hyundai Robotics Collaborative Robot Marketing Contest will be awarded a total of 8.5 million KRW and prizes such as the “Prime Minister’s Award,” “KIRIA (Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement) President’s Award,” “KAR Chairman’s Award,” and “Hyundai Robotics COO’s Award.” Moreover, winners will be granted bonus evaluation points should they apply for employment at Hyundai Robotics.
