Personal information management policies

  • 1. Purpose of Personal Information Processing
    • Hyundai robotics uses collected personal information for the following purposes. Hyundai robotics shall not use the personal information for purposes other than these and shall take appropriate action, including but not limited to seeking consent from users if the purposes of the collection and use of personal information change.
    • (1) Website membership registration and management Hyundai robotics manages the personal information of users for the following purposes; Confirmation of intention to join membership, maintenance and management of membership, identity confirmation according to the implementation of the limited identity verification system, preventing unauthorized use of the service, sending notices and notifications, handling complaints, and retention of records for dispute settlement.
    • (2) Provision of goods or services The Company uses the collected information of users for the service provision, content provision, customized service provision, payment and settlement.
    • (3) Use for Marketing and Advertisements Hyundai Robotics processes personal information for the purpose of developing its service and providing customized services, offering advertising or event information and participation opportunities, providing service and advertisement by demographic characteristics, checking the validity of the service, identifying the frequency of website access or statistics about the use of the member services, etc.
  • 2. Collected personal information items and method

    • (2) If there is a need to retain information according to the provisions of related laws such as commercial law, consumer protection law in e-commerce, etc., the Company can keep the user's personal information for a certain period set by relevant laws and regulations. In this case, the Company will keep the information just for the data retention basis and period specified in this section. Items of data retention and the basis and period of retention are as follows:

  • 4. Provision of personal information to a third party
    • Hyundai robotics shall only provide personal information to a third party if consent is obtained from the user or if it is allowed under Article 17 or Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

  • 5. Entrustment of Personal Information
    • Hyundai robotics entrusts personal information processing tasks for smooth personal information processing as follows.

    • When signing a consignment contract, the Company shall provide a contract with matters related to liability such as the prohibition of processing of personal information other than the purpose of performing consignment work, technical and administrative protection measures, restrictions on reconsignment, management and supervision of the consignee, compensation for damages in accordance with Article 25 of the Personal Information Protection Act, and oversees whether the trustee handles personal information safely. If the contents of the consignment business or the consignee change, we will disclose it through this personal information processing policy without delay.
  • 6. Purpose and scope of entrusted work
    • The entrusted company performs the following personal information processing tasks for website operation and management purposes as stipulated in the contract.
    • (1) For the website's operation, personal information can be viewed and deleted at the request of Hyundai Robotics. When errors are found on the website, they can access to determine the cause.
    • (2) Information related to personal information processed for normal website operation shall be notified to Hyundai Robotics.
    • (3) Personal information must not be used for any purpose other than reading information for the operation and management of the website.
  • 7. Rights and Obligations of Users and Exercise of Rights
    • The following rights can be exercised by the user with regard to his/her personal information:
    • (1) As a personal information subject, the customer may exercise the following rights related to personal information protection at any time to Hyundai robotics. 1) To review the user's personal information
      2) To correct the personal information
      3) To demand the deletion of the personal information
      4) To demand the discontinuation of the collection, processing or use of the personal information
    • (2) The rights specified above in the preceding Article can be exercised through written notice, phone call, email, or fax to Hyundai robotics. Upon receiving such a request, Hyundai robotics shall take necessary measures in accordance with the form of Attachment No. 8 of the Enforcement Rule of the Personal Information Protection Act.
    • (3) If the information subject requests correction or deletion of personal information errors, Hyundai robotics will not use or provide the personal information until the correction or deletion is completed.
    • 4) The exercise of rights pursuant to Paragraph 1 may be done through the legal representative of the information subject or through an agent such as a person who has been delegated. In this case, you must submit a power of attorney in accordance with the form of Attachment 11 of the Enforcement Regulations of the Personal Information Protection Act.
  • 8. Installation and operation of automatic Personal information collection device and matters relating to its refusal
    • The company uses cookies, which store and retrieve customer information from time to time. Cookies are very small text files that the server uses to operate the website, send to your browser, and are stored on your computer's hard disk. The company uses encrypted cookies for the following purposes.
    • (1) Purpose of using automatic data, including cookies The Company operates data collection tools to analyze the customers' access frequency/patterns and visiting time to find out customer preferences and interests. This helps the Company provide the customers with customized services and measure service improvement. The customers have options to manage cookies: block cookies, allow cookies only upon user's confirmation, or allow all cookies in the settings of their web browsers.
    • (2) Methods to refuse collecting cookies (ex: Users have options to manage cookies: block cookies, allow cookies only upon user's confirmation, or allow all cookies in the settings of their web browsers. Setting example (Explorer): Select Tools button > Internet Options > Privacy Tab. Please note that it might be difficult for the customers who blocked cookies to use part of the Company's customized services.
  • 9. Destruction of Personal Data
    • Hyundai robotics shall, without delay, destroy the personal data concerned when the consented period expires or after the achievement of the purpose for the collection and use of personal data. The procedures and methods for destruction are as follows:

      The users' information will be stored for a certain period for information protection under the internal policy and relevant legislation and then destroyed.
      Destruction Due Date
      The private information of the user is destroyed within 5 days after the date of the retention completion if the retention period expires and within 5 days from the date of acceptance that it is not needed to handle the private information if the information is not required anymore due to achieving the purpose, service termination or project termination.
      Destruction Methods
      Hyundai Robotics destroys personal information as follows. Personal data stored in electronic file format will be deleted by technical means that would render the records unrecyclable. The personal data as written or printed out on paper will be destroyed by shredding using a document shredder or by incinerating it.
  • 10. Protection of Personal Information
    • Hyundai robotics maintains a technical, managerial, and physical action procedure to protect personal information in pursuit of the Personal Information Protection Act Article 29.
    • (1) Training of personnel handling personal information Personnel handling personal information are designated and limited to protect personal information.
    • (2) Establish and implement the internal management plans Hyundai robotics establishes and implements its internal management plans for the safe handling of private information.
    • (3) Encryption of private information The private information and passwords of a user are stored and managed by the encryption known only to the owner, and additional security functions are implemented by encrypting the file and transmission for important data and introducing a file-locking function.
    • (4) Technical measures against hacking, etc. Hyundai robotics installs security programs, regularly checks and renews the system, installs the system in a restricted area, and physically/technically blocks and monitors the system to prevent leakage and damage to private information by hacking or computer viruses.
    • (5) Access restriction on the private information Hyundai robotics takes required measures to control access to private information through the grant, modification, and elimination of the access authority to the database system for private information and introduces an intrusion detection system to control unauthorized access from outside.
    • (6) Locking device for document security Hyundai robotics stores documents containing private information and storage devices in a safe place with locking devices.
    • (7) Access control against unauthorized people Hyundai robotics prepares a physically separated storage site for private information and establishes and implements the access control procedure.
  • 11. Responsible person for the protection of personal information
